VoiceLogix HIPAA Compliance
This article provides an overview regarding the HIPAA compliance of VoiceLogix.
If a customer is a Covered Entity or a Business Associate as defined under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and it will use VoiceLogix services to create, receive, transmit, or maintain PHI, the customer must request a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) from VoiceLogix. In that situation, VoiceLogix will act as a Business Associate, and it will manage its HIPAA obligations accordingly.
The VoiceLogix BAA further outlines the respective HIPAA obligations of both VoiceLogix and the customer. For more information on requesting a BAA, please see the next section below.
Please note that the customer is ultimately responsible for determining their organization’s overall compliance with HIPAA.
Business Associate Agreement (BAA)
This article provides information about the VoiceLogix Business Associate Agreement (BAA).
For customers who are subject to HIPAA and who will use VoiceLogix services to create, receive, transmit, or maintain PHI, VoiceLogix offers to sign a VoiceLogix Business Associate Agreement (BAA). The VoiceLogix BAA outlines the respective HIPAA obligations of both VoiceLogix and the customer.
When purchasing VoiceLogix services, such customer needs to request the VoiceLogix BAA from its VoiceLogix representative. VoiceLogix will then send the VoiceLogix BAA to the customer for signature. If a customer is not working directly with a VoiceLogix representative, they can request the VoiceLogix BAA by emailing legal@VoiceLogix.com.
Please note that VoiceLogix cannot accept a customer’s own BAA.
